"This course has a great structure and content. Although I'm already very experienced in UX design, I found this course very instructive. There's a lot of knowledge I have gathered through the years that is very instinctual, experience-based. It's good to be able to put the "right words" on that knowledge, it validates my assumptions and helps me explain them with a more professional and consistent terminology. This course also helped me clarify doubts I've had about certain design solutions and even made me correct several mistakes I've been making."

"Therese was an excellent instructor and I really feel like I learned a lot from this course. I already have new ideas that I want to implement!"

Maria Shokalo, CCC, Toronto Canada
"WOW! As a designer I'm fascinated by all the facts presented here. This class is loaded with SUCH useful information. It really gives a structured explanation to failures & successes you may have experienced in design. Working solely on instincts can turn subjective very quickly. But becoming more aware of behavioral patterns really simplifies the design process – it eliminates 'bad' options. You really can't take this class as a designer without it sucking you in. The information feels critical to absorb. The test user videos were SO interesting to watch! I loved it! Group activities were great as well. Day 1 workshop was amazing. Our group connected with each other very quickly. Day 2…not so much. We struggled with 1 persons technical issues MAJORITY of the time. And 2 others wouldn't participate. So it was a team of me & 1 other. Kudos to Therese for putting together a brilliant session! She seemed in her element, did a superb job presenting, & keeping it all SO interesting! Taking a moment to briefly demonstrate the workshop was very considerate of her. The examples she chose were on point, variety of sites brought clarity, and she juggled some complex & tough-to-understand chat questions with ease. Great Class!"
Jeffrey Ayling, Philadelphia, US

"This was a fantastic kickstart for me to more over from working with UX Research to also start implementing the learnings into design. Therese is a fantastic facilitator. Altough I worked for 8h she keept me on my toes all the way into 9pm. This is the second time I've been in an NNG Course, I love how you are using the breakout rooms, pools and the chat for integration. I really liked that it was split into two days, that gave me time to reflect on the learnings."
Johanna Norberg, Conversionista!, Stockholm

"Yes, I did benefit from the course! It gave me lots of tips and mainly a better structure to do my work as web designer. Also a new approach to see websites and some of their elements, and re-think of what I've been doing "wrong" or at least the challenge to think on different ways to do some designs. I really like to see the examples of how the users interact with some of the websites, the eye tracking is very eye opening for my work! (Also like to have the chance to do the activities with people from all the places around the world!)"

"As a content designer, this gave me the know-how to speak with UX designers and web developers to improve the experience for our users and make the organisation more successful."
Tristan Viscarra Rossel, Dept. of Veteran Affairs, Australia
The web page is the most basic and foundational unit of the web. Often we spend a lot of time designing complex website elements such as navigation and user journeys, without ever evaluating the effectiveness of the individual pages themselves.
In this course, we dissect page design and the design decisions that influence the extent to which a page performs for users and your business. We will discuss in detail common page types and the design considerations that contribute to their success. Some of these concepts include: guiding the user to important content through visual design, appropriate use of imagery, and choosing effective layouts.
