"Measuring UX and ROI covers the importance of quantitative evaluation and how you should think about it in your own context. It also covers the basics of providing arguments to help you build a case on ROI of design changes but it doesn't go deep into statistics. Alita is a great instructor and I'd definitely recommend this course to others :)"

"I'm a junior designer and I was never into ROI, metrics, and quantitative data. After going through the course, Kate has changed my mind about these topics! I really appreciate how the little exercises are based off our work, rather than a scenario or a case study. That made it a lot more relatable, I had to think a lot more, and I feel like I better understood the complexity of this topic. Thank you for the course!"

Keryn Christiansen, Clubware, Auckland, New Zealand
"I would tell people to definitely take this course in order to link business and design better. Often we are at odds when we shouldn't be. I benefitted from taking this course because of its relevancy to a lot of things I work on. Something difficult was I work in a specialized industry, so I could see some potential roadblocks using the method that perhaps healthcare or e-commerce wouldn't have."
Haley Tuttle, HP, Portland, OR, USA
"I learned a lot from this course, and the virtual format was much more engaging than I expected! This is the best virtual event or training I've ever attended."
Nicole Riesenberger, Huge, Inc., Washington, D.C., USA
"The content included in this course was fantastic! I learned so much, and appreciated the case studies and examples given. The course was well-paced (and ended on time) and the instructor was very knowledgeable. She could handle any and all questions thrown at her. The material was a bit dense so it will take me some re-reading to fully grasp and apply the topic in my own work, but thankfully they shared a copy of the slides, a worksheet, and plenty of additional resources. This is just the start of my journey in learning more about benchmarking and measuring ROI."
Bella Margolles, Charitable Impact, Vancouver, Canada

This course has very nice content and real-time examples that help you easily understand how you go about convincing your firm's management. I would highly recommend to take this course."
Swarup Reddy, Foster City, USA
"Measuring UX and ROI is exactly or better than what I expected. Kate really nailed it. I personally love Kate's style a lot. She is calm, fun, a bit nerdy, passionate, knowledgable, and is extremely good at articulating. As a UX design lead, I have always successfully and shamelessly avoided doing UX and ROI directly. I usually let someone else drive it, which has not been ideal. Now I have the confidence and knowledge to do it myself, and with others. It will be very beneficial for UX as a practice at my current job, and any company I work for later."
Yuan Zhou, Kimberly-Clark, Atlanta, USA
"This is a great course for those who are responsible for calculating and understanding the ROI on projects as well as for those that are working along side of those specific individuals."
Jennifer Menzner, UFG Insurance, Cedar Rapids, USA
"Great summary of obtaining ROI for UX projects, this is something as a one-person UX team struggles with communicating to our leadership team, so this has given me some effective ways to illustrate the benefits in a more appealing way. The group exercises were a little awkward as it just launched you into the groups without prior introduction, but a minor detail which id consider a confounding variable of covid!"
Benjamin Sopher, Detechtion Technologies, Calgary, Canada
"This course and the instructor were amazingly helpful. The benchmarking template and metric examples are game changers for me and something I will continue to evolve after the course. Thank you!"
Taylor Williams, Hydro Tasmania, Melbourne, Australia

Nicole Ho, Singapore
"I would highly recommend this course, as it tought me how to measure the value of the UX in terms of ROI. I really enjoyed the activities and survey activities during the course."
Varun Saini, Contractor, Melbourne, Australia
"UX and ROI was probably my favourite course so far. It was brilliantly executed by Alita Joyce and supported by Jody and the course content is fantastic. For a lot of us, it's not the easiest to be a UX professional where you have to convince your company and sometimes even your core team to get behind your efforts and your work but this course will definitely give you the ammo to get them on-board. Every company and stakeholder wants to know what and how you have contributed and with some of the suggestions and easy to understand examples and templates, you can be confident of what you will bring to the table. I really loved the activity where we were given a workbook to start prepping for a benchmarking activity for a product of our choosing. This was so perfect in that, the timing was great for me because it will prove super useful for some upcoming work and now I know where to begin. Even the activity where you need to crunch some numbers for a sample case study was fun. And the course material we can share to spread the UX love is just awesome. I can't wait to get back to work and start putting all that I have learnt into practice."
Suhasini Vempati, amaysim, Sydney, Australia
"Alita is an amazing presenter. Great content and resources that will fuel my work for years to come."

"I do like the course a lot and it helped me a lot to have all information regarding UX measurement and ROI at one place. It as well helped to know how to argument as for the UX measurement and how to be ready to argument ROI of UX but as well always keep in mind that this is only an indication."

"Really useful intro, as it can be intimidating for a qualitative researcher to look at numbers! Feel like now I have a lot to take back to my company and looking forward to implementing what I have learnt!"
Dasha Veysey, Zoocha Ltd, London, UK
"The ultimate goal of the course gets into some mathematical calculations and somewhat of an understanding of equations. So, you may not need to go that far, but benchmarking is a great tool to asses where you're at in a project and the course is almost 90% that until you get to ROI calculating at the end. I benefited from taking the course. I liked the presentation method as well as the presenters methods."
Mike Lindberg, BYU, Provo USA
"This course provides methods and examples that are useful and relevant to my company. I planned some great 'baby steps' during the course and have a good idea of what I'd like to do in the larger scheme of things."

"ROI and maths can be intimidating for designers, so this is a great way to ease yourself into benchmark and metrics, with some trusty hands to guide you."
Acacia Pereira De Almeida, Vonage, London
"Gives a very complete overview on the topic without getting into the nitty gritty details. It would be great to follow up and go into the nitty gritty, but I understand that can be done by attending other courses. I liked that there was some variation in simple examples and more complex situations. I find the work situations are always so much more complicated than what you see in these courses usually, so it's great that's being recognized!"
Sylvie Claes, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Quantitative benchmarking of digital experiences offers many benefits to UX practitioners, including the ability to:
This seminar walks through each step in the benchmarking process in detail, and includes many real-life examples from a wide variety of industries. You’ll practice applying these concepts to your own product or service. At the end of seminar, you’ll leave with your own plan for benchmarking your experience and calculating its return-on-investment.
Joachim Doll, OECD, Paris, France
This seminar focuses on the process and strategy of UX benchmarking and ROI calculation; It does not cover in-depth how to perform quantitative research studies or statistical analysis (for more on statistical analysis, see How to Interpret UX Numbers: Statistics for UX.)
