New Mobile & Multi-Channel UX Specialty for UX Certification
Announcements
A new Specialty in Mobile & Multi-Channel UX is now available to participants in the UX Certification Program.
This Specialty recognition can be achieved by completing a minimum of 5 courses concentrated on designing for different screen sizes, and helping users transition between channels and usage contexts.
Effective today, this new Specialty replaces the previous Mobile Design Specialty. UX Certification Program participants who had previously received partial credit towards the Mobile Design Specialty may now apply those course credits towards the new Mobile & Multi-Channel UX Specialty.
In addition to the name change, the course requirements for this specialty have expanded to include a broader range of topics related to the research and design planning needed to accommodate users as they interact with brands across multiple touchpoints, and at different stages in the user journey. The new courses that are eligible for this specialty credit are:
Omnichannel Courses and Customer Experience: Create a usable cross-channel experience, including the web, email, social media, phone, print, apps and online chat
Journeymapping to Understand Customer Needs: Learn the process for capturing and communicating UX insights across complex interactions
Service Blueprinting: Use service design to create processes that are core to your digital experience and everything that supports it.
In addition to these new courses, UX Certification Program participants can also earn credit towards the Mobile & Multi-Channel UX Specialty by completing any of these mobile-specific UX Training courses:
Mobile User Experience: Essential UX design principles for small-screen websites and apps
Scaling User Interfaces: Usable Designs on many screen sizes
Visual Design for Mobile and Tablet, Day 1: Basic components and patterns of mobile design
Visual Design for Mobile and Tablet, Day 2: Advance into more challenging design solutions for mobile
Passing a minimum of 5 courses is required to earn the UX Certificate with the Mobile & Multi-Channel UX Specialty.
