What is a 1-Hour Talk like?
You’ll be able to watch and listen to the recorded presentation and the speaker’s responses to audience questions that were asked during the live event.
Are 1-Hour Talks part of NN/g’s UX Certification program?
No, 1-Hour Talks are not eligible for UX certification. NN/g’s UX Certification Program requires earning credits by participating in full-day or half-day live training courses available at any of our UX Conferences or through Team Training (in-person or virtual) only.
What topics are covered by NN/g’s 1-Hour Talks?
Our library covers a wide variety of topics around UX research, design, and related subjects, presented by our internal team as well as selected outside experts. We are not currently planning to record new 1-hour talks; however, our podcast features short, audio interviews on a variety of UX topics.
Watching the Talk
How do I watch the 1-hour talk?
After you have registered and paid for the 1-hour talk, you will receive a link to the recording via email. This link is specific to you and your registration and will provide access for you. However, if you are still experiencing issues accessing the recording, please email [email protected].
Can I watch the talk via a mobile device?
Yes, our 1-hour talks are hosted on Gumroad.com. Recordings may be viewed directly via web browser. If you are running into issues loading the event on your mobile device, try opening the page using the Chrome browser.
However, we recommend watching via computer when possible for the best experience.
Will I get a copy of the speaker’s slides?
In most cases, you will receive a copy of the speaker’s slides. Slides are for the use of the registrant only. Please do not share electronic or printed copies or post to the web or your corporate intranet. Occasionally our speakers prefer not to distribute their slides.
Will I be able to download the recording of the presentation?
The recording will be streamed online to your device, and is not available for download. However, you will be able to download a PDF of the presentation slides.
Can I watch the talk more than one time?
You may watch the talk as many times as you would like. If your link appears to have expired, please forward your receipt to [email protected] so that we can validate your purchase and issue a new link.
How long will the purchase of the talk be valid?
The recordings do not have an expiration date, and your purchase will be honored indefinitely, even if your unique link expires for any reason. If your link appears to have expired, please forward your receipt to [email protected] so that we can validate your purchase and issue a new link.
Can I watch the talk with my colleagues?
You may watch this talk with your team in a conference room. Please be mindful that the quality of the audio and video may severely degrade when steamed via virtual meeting service (like Zoom, Skype, Teams, GoToMeeting, or Webex), due to multiple levels of A/V streaming.
Additionally, each registration is only valid for one person's email address and cannot be transferred or shared via email, so if someone misses the group viewing, they will need to purchase their own individual license to access the talk.
Please note: Unauthorized replication of recordings and the sharing of these talks via livestream is strictly prohibited.
I purchased my talk on Crowdcast.io/GoToTraining. Is my purchase still valid?
Your purchase will be honored indefinitely, whether you purchased access on GoToTraining, Crowdcast.io, or Gumroad (our current provider), even if your unique link expires for any reason. If your link appears to have expired, please forward your receipt to [email protected] so that we can validate your purchase and issue a new link.
Payment
What forms of payment are accepted?
Registration fees are processed through Gumroad.com with a major credit card. At this time we do not provide invoicing or quotations.
Why is the price of online seminars different for EU residents?
EU tax laws require the remittance of VAT on electronically supplied services that require minimal human intervention (in other words, most recorded, streamable, or downloadable offerings). Gumroad.com, the seller of record for these transactions, controls the collection and remittance of VAT in compliance with EU tax law.
I'm having an issue with PayPal. What can I do?
If you run into any issues with payment, email us at [email protected]. If you have encountered an error message, if possible, please make note of it or take a screenshot to assist us in troubleshooting the problem.
If you have seen a PayPal error that includes the label “4001,” one potential solution is to log into an existing PayPal account, if you have one, and submit payment via that account.
